Starting in October 2025, Telegram users will gain the unique opportunity to trade tokenized shares of leading U.S. companies directly within the messenger app. This innovation makes it possible to invest in popular stocks and ETFs without leaving Telegram, lowering entry barriers and making investing more convenient than ever.

What Are Tokenized Stocks and Why Do They Matter?

Tokenized stocks are digital tokens backed by real company shares, such as Apple, Microsoft, or Tesla. Each token represents either a full share or a fractional share, pegged 1:1 to the underlying security. What sets them apart is that they exist on the blockchain, which ensures transparency and security of transactions. Unlike traditional exchanges, tokenized stocks can be traded 24/7. However, their voting rights and dividend structures may differ from regular stocks—dividends can be distributed in fiat or in tokenized form. In short, tokenized stocks make investing simpler, more accessible, and far less restrictive.

How Will Tokenized Stock Trading Work in Telegram?

Starting in October, Telegram users will be able to trade U.S. tokenized stocks using Wallet, the crypto wallet integrated directly into the messenger. Trading will be powered by the xStocks platform, which already has experience with tokenized assets on major crypto exchanges like Kraken and Bybit. Available instruments will include leading U.S. stocks, popular ETFs, and even the S&P 500 index. At launch, trading will run via a centralized wallet version, but support for non-custodial TON wallets is planned in the future. This setup expands investment opportunities while keeping everything inside Telegram, without needing to switch to separate platforms.

What Are ETFs and How Are They Connected to Tokenized Assets?

An ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund) is an investment fund that pools a wide range of assets—from stocks and bonds to commodities—and allows them to be traded as a single instrument. Tokenized ETFs work the same way, but in digital form. They allow investors to gain diversified exposure to multiple assets with smaller amounts of capital, while benefiting from the advantages of blockchain—speed and transparency.

Why Is Tokenization a Game-Changer for Financial Markets?

Tokenization takes traditional financial assets and brings them into the digital economy, cutting out intermediaries and lowering transaction costs. This makes global markets more accessible—investors can gain exposure to international assets anytime and from any device. Blockchain ensures a high level of security, as well as immutability, and verifiability of every tokenized asset. Combined with such platforms as Telegram, the new financial instrument becomes not only easier to access but also more democratic, giving even beginner investors a chance to participate in the global economy with minimal barriers.
