Before you send Bitcoin, please make sure you understand the principles and terms of our Bitcoin mixer.

1. Select the cleaning mode

Our mixer features 2 modes of operation: “Mixer” and “Complete Anonymity”:

  • “Mixer” is recommended for quick and inexpensive cleaning without serious anonymization requirements (like other mixers).
  • “Complete Anonymity” is a professional mode for deep mixing to get BTC withdrawn from foreign exchanges.

You can read more about the comparison of the modes here. If the difference is clear, choose the one that best meets your requirements.

2. Enter your Bitcoin withdrawal address(es).

Open your Bitcoin mixed coin wallet and select the address(es):

Paste the address(es) into the fields on the Mixer.money Bitcoin mixer homepage.

These are the addresses that you will get back your mixed coins to in Mixer mode and coins from exchanges in Complete Anonymity mode.

A little more detail on what return addresses to enter and some valuable tips below:

If the level of anonymization is not critical for you, you can specify one address and move on to the next point.

If you still seek to significantly increase the level of security, use our little lifehack (relevant for any mixers). When withdrawing coins to several addresses, we recommend using 2 different wallets that are not connected to each other. Say, the first address from Ledger hardware wallet, the second address from Electrum wallet in your phone.

In case you generate 2 return addresses inside the same wallet, there is a high probability that your two addresses will be merged into one transaction and it will be possible to establish a connection between them by cluster analysis.

For our part, we try to counteract cluster analysis by sending you coins without change. That’s why Mixer.money doesn’t allow you to choose the % of sending to a particular address. Otherwise, the system would have a serious vulnerability.

If you withdraw coins not to your wallet, but directly to the exchanger, make sure that the lifetime of the request in the exchanger is sufficient (6-7 hours).

So, you have chosen the mode, and entered the address(es) for receiving mixed coins. Go to the next point – click “Mix my Bitcoins”.

3. Send your Bitcoins to the mixer

After clicking “Mix my Bitcoins” you will see the request page, which displays:

  • The mode in which the request was created
  • BTC address to send your coins to the mixer
  • QR code for sending coins to the mixer via mobile wallets
  • Download the Letter of Guarantee button (be sure to download it!)
  • Calculator (only available in clearnet version. Not available in TOR)

3.1 Download the Letter of Guarantee

The letter of guarantee (LOA) contains all the conditions and necessary data for your order: the address to which you need to send the money, your return address, the amount of the commission and the mixing time.

Check the authenticity of the letter of guarantee: the Letter of Guarantee is your main proof in case of disputes! If you change even one character in the Letter of Guarantee, it will not be verified. This is a reliable data protection technology.

Read more about how to use PGP keys to verify Letters of Guarantee here. Keep the Letter of Guarantee until you receive your cleared coins.

3.2 Send BTC to the mixer

Copy the address or use the QR code to send BTC to the mixer deposit address.

Your mixer request is active for 168 hours, meaning you can send your coins within that time frame. This is especially convenient when you send Bitcoin from third-party services that may delay payouts.

Important!

Clearing will only begin once you receive 1 confirmation on the Bitcoin network. Therefore, set a sufficient Bitcoin network fee (miner fee) so as not to increase the waiting time.

If you set a very low fee, your transaction may be confirmed only after a few days, so the clearing will start only after the confirmation.

If your incoming transaction is not confirmed for a long time, there is no need to panic. Wait or use a Bitcoin transaction accelerator: such services will include your transaction in the next blocks for an extra fee.

3.3 Calculate the final amount in the calculator

Calculate the amount in the calculator

Scroll down the page and you will see a calculator that will calculate the amount of money after mixing minus the commission. Note that the commissions in our mixer are floating, which is one of the safeguards against volume analysis. The calculator performs the calculation at the maximum commission, so with almost 100% probability you will get a little more.

The calculator uses JavaScript, so it is only available in the Clearnet version. For the safety of TOR version users, the Javascript functionality is disabled there.

4. Wait for BTC to be credited to your return address(es)

Mixing time:

  • 0-2 hours in Mixer mode
  • 0-6 hours in Complete Anonymity mode

Keep in mind that in Complete Anonymity mode, coins are returned in different installments. If you don’t see the full amount returned, wait for the cleaning to complete. Also read the detailed instructions on how to check the mix quality.

5. Free test

You can test our mixer for free! To do this, create a request and send 0.001 BTC to the mixer. The cleared coins will be returned to you without commission.

Note: in the Complete Anonymity mode, the return is made to one address.
